You were taking the usual train home. The car was quiet, your body exhausted; work had been especially draining. The familiar movement of the train invites sleep, and despite efforts to remain awake, you drift off...

You awake. Wood instead of metal greets you. The sharp whistle of steam locomotive echoes across the empty car. The vague smell of burning coals wafts to your nose. 

Where are you? And how will you get home?

Woebegone is a spooky comedic micro visual novel that includes explicit language and spooky imagery. 

This game was made for the O2A2 VN Jam 2025, a micro visual novel jam with strict asset limitations and a 1,000 word limit.
